Well This Is Something You Don’t See Every Day of the Day: CCTV cameras at Wrexham General station in Wales captured an unidentified man attempting to board an ATW train to Holyhead on Anglesey with his pet pony.
Horses and ponies “may pose a risk to the general public,” according to an ATW spokeswoman, so are not permitted aboard trains.
According to reports, the man later showed up at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, where he sought medical treatment for the pony. A health board spokesman said he was “asked to leave the premises by the Security Guard and duly left, taking the pony with him.”
The RSPCA said it was reviewing the CCTV images out of concern for the safety of the animal.
